She went on to establish a successful new fundraising & communications directorate for national disability charity, FitzRoy, writing and implementing a new fundraising strategy incorporating multiple income streams and recruiting and managing a team of 4 new staff.

In recent years Julie has specialised in high level statutory and trusts fundraising and has raised 6 figure sums from major grant funders, including the National Lottery. As Head of Trusts for children’s health charity Over The Wall, Julie increased annual trusts and foundations income from £140k to £700k over a period of 5 years.

Julie is a skilled communications professional and has been responsible for the creation of several new charity websites working with very limited budgets. She has led a rebranding process and written and designed numerous marketing materials including Annual Reviews, Impact Reports and supporter magazines. She has very recent small charity experience of establishing new financial management and governance structures, systems and processes.

Julie is an excellent communicator and presenter, experienced and comfortable meeting and working with people from all walks of life.

When not at work, Julie spends most of her free time with her two boys and mad dog (Alan).
