£40,000 grants available for healthcare charities

Charities working to provide healthcare to disadvantaged adults and children in the UK can apply for one of a number of grants of £10,000 to £40,000 from health plan provider Simplyhealth.

Projects should align with Simplyhealth’s purpose of ‘improving access to healthcare professionals, making it easy for the many for the long term’. Examples of the support currently being provided include dental education and dentistry in primary schools in disadvantaged areas, therapies such as physio for children with complex needs and counselling services for people suffering from sight loss. Grants may be distributed in a single sum or as multiple grants towards smaller projects.

The grants are being offered via whatCharity.com, which has recently set up a new online grant application platform to make it easier for small to medium-sized charities to see what grants are available to them and have their bids ready to go. Applicants will need to complete a whatCharity profile and a short questionnaire.

Full details of the application process can be found here.

The closing date for applications is 6th October 2019.
