Isabel Merrifield

She held this position for over 7 years during which time she oversaw the response to the COVID crisis and the necessary staff and resource restructuring, the building of the first extension to the 1960’s cathedral and the governance and strategic changes associated with the Cathedral becoming a registered charity following the Cathedrals’ Measure 2021.

Isabel previously held senior roles in local government and Royal Mail with a brief period in the civil service too.

Isabel is enjoys strategy creation, plan writing, performance management and problem solving.  Since becoming a consultant she has reviewed the NLHF business plan for Leicester Cathedral and introduced a range of measures to de-risk its delivery.  She has broad senior operational experience and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving.  She has also led strategic workshops and staff away days.
