For every charity, the relationship between Chair and Chief Executive is absolutely pivotal. When it goes well, they are indeed a ‘dynamic duo’, able together to lead the organisation to greatness. But when it doesn’t go well – which happens all too often – it can result in stagnation, frustration, or much, much worse.
