London Marathon fund for physical activity

Can you believe the London Marathon has been running for 40 years? Over that time it has raised millions for charitable causes and this year the London Marathon Trust has put together a fund of £7.8million to support its two grants programmes, the Facilities Grants Programme and Strategic Partnerships Grants.

The former funds the building or improvement of sports facilities in London and Surrey; the latter works with organisations that challenge inequality in accessibility of physical activities across Britain.

The Facilities Grants Programme will be allocated £5.8m of the fund, which will be handed out in Small Grants (£5,000-£50,000) and Major Grants (£50,001-£250,000). These grants are now open for applications.

Deadline for the next round of applications is Wednesday 11th March.
