Co-op funding for youth peer-to-peer support

Co-op Foundation, the charity arm of the grocery chain, is partnering with the #iwill Fund to offer grants of up to £35,000 to support projects that enable young people to provide support for their peers making the transition from primary to secondary school.

The #iwill Fund was set up to encourage young people aged 10-20 to get involved in social action activities. Projects such as this provide lasting benefits for both those giving support and those receiving it. Participants gain confidence, skills, friendships and a broader perspective on society, while beneficiaries face the pressures of school life with confidence and reassurance.

The deadline for applications is Monday 24th February. Successful organisations will be given the opportunity to apply for two further years of funding, so they can extend the impact of their work and build on their learning.
