Discounted housing grant scheme unveiled

Volunteer groups can apply for Government grants of £10,000 to £50,000 to support plans to provide discounted homes for younger people and families in need of housing. 

The Government has made £8.5million available as part of a three-year pilot project to help local communities deliver discounted homes. The grants are designed to help groups identify suitable sites, get planning permission and provide other technical support. Further specialist advice and guidance will also be available free of charge for those who participate in the pilot.
