Government opens fund to reduce food waste
Organisations that help to cut food waste by redistributing surplus food to people in need are being invited to apply for grants from a new round of DEFRA funding.
A fund, worth more than £6 million, is part of DEFRA’s campaign to slash food waste. The fund is designed to be used towards improving the distribution of leftover food by enabling charities and other organisations to invest in infrastructure.
