Heritage grants for historic buildings

Transforming Places Through Heritage is a £15million grant programme from the Architectural Heritage Fund, aimed at supporting charities and social enterprises to develop projects creating alternative uses for redundant or underused historic buildings in town centres.

The following grants are currently open for applications:

  • Project Viability Grants: up to £15,000, for early viability and feasibility work.
  • Project Development Grants: up to £100,000, for capital project development costs.
  • Crowdfunding Challenge Grants: up to £25,000, to match fund crowdfunding campaigns.

These grants have rolling deadlines. The next deadline for the first three is 10th February 2020 and for the Transformational Project Grants the next deadline for applications is 31st  March 2020.

Only one grant programme may be applied for at a time, but further grants may be applied for on completion of the funded work.
