Join Us as a Trustee and Support Survivors!

Are you ready to be part of an organisation that is experiencing an exciting phase of growth and development? At NAPAC, we are expanding our reach to positively impact more lives, and we need passionate, pragmatic individuals to join our team as Trustees.

Who We Are: The National Association For People Abused in Childhood is a respected national charity, with growing international influence, dedicated to supporting adult survivors of childhood abuse. Our mission is to help individuals leave the impact of childhood abuse behind and enjoy a happier and more fulfilling adult life. We achieve this through direct support services, professional training, collaboration with partners, and advocacy efforts.

Why Become a Trustee: As we grow, the role of our Trustees becomes even more critical in ensuring the highest standards of governance. You will be part of a well-established Board, and together, we can continue to drive positive change and empower adult survivors of childhood abuse to heal and thrive.

Areas of Expertise We Are Looking For: We are seeking individuals with experience in one or more of the following fields:

1. Legal and/or Law Enforcement: Are you a senior solicitor or law enforcement professional with extensive national networks? Your knowledge and influence can help promote NAPAC's work within the legal profession and law enforcement sector. Your expertise will guide the Board on legal matters and encourage support within your respective fields.

2. Health: If you specialise in health or social care, with particular expertise in trauma-informed approaches, we want to hear from you. Your strong understanding of the NHS and its structures will help NAPAC refine our training and advocacy efforts for health professionals.

3. Fundraising: Do you have experience in income generation from corporate donors, high-net worth individuals, or trusts and foundations? Your valuable insights will contribute to the Board's fundraising strategy, helping our team develop effective approaches, bid submissions, and events.

What do we need from you? While previous charity Board experience is desirable, what truly matters to us is your passion for NAPAC's mission and your drive to make a positive impact. Whether you are an experienced trustee or looking to take your first step at the Board level, we welcome your application. We believe that diverse boards strengthen governance, and we are committed to attracting candidates from varied backgrounds and with a wide range of skills and lived experience.
