Karon has 28 years voluntary sector management, fundraising and leadership experience working for and on behalf of a range of small local and national charities.

Karon is experienced at resolving management difficulties; and is also an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser with specialisms in National Lottery Community Fund and Children in Need. In the last eight years Karon has generated on average in excess of £1m in grant income for the charities she has worked with.
Karon was until December 2018 the Chair of the East Midlands regional Institute of Fundraising Committee. In addition, Karon has served as a Trustee of the Market Harborough Building Society Charitable Foundation.
Karon is also experienced at developing and implementing fundraising strategies, business and operational plans including risk assessments.
Karon has given oral evidence to the Social Security Select Committee, provided written reports to the Welsh Assembly and taken part in Chatham House rules meeting in Downing Street regarding housing benefit.
Karon will soon be based in the Scottish borders area.
